Travel Advisory

Altitude is no joke, especially when you know how to party

If you’ve never been to the Rocky Mountains or altitude in general, we have a few tips to make sure you’re rocking and rolling for as long as you’re in town.

1

Drink ALL the Water

The higher up you are, the faster your body becomes dehydrated. You know what else dehydrates you? Alcohol. Drink. Lots. Of. Water.

2

Acclimate in Denver

If you’ve never been above sea level or know you are prone to altitude sickness, consider spending the first night in Denver before driving up. Denver is at a lower elevation than Steamboat and will make acclimating easier.

3

Don’t Exert Yourself for the First 24 Hours

If you’ve never been at altitude, give yourself a day or two before crushing cardio or running up one of the majestic Rocky Mountains.

4

DRINK. WATER.

For the most part everybody should be good but we cannot stress enough how much you’ll regret not staying hydrated. Mountain hangovers are brutal and altitude sickness is worse. Consider Nuun tablets or something similar when consuming alcohol.
